kitchen: an artistic wedding photography attempt

For years, I’ve been capturing the beautiful, raw moments of couples in love—those unforgettable moments of laughter, tears, and dancing that make a wedding day so special.
These are the moments that everyone remembers, the heart of every celebration. But over time, I realized that there’s more to a wedding than just the couple. Behind every joyful moment, there are countless unsung heroes who work tirelessly to make it all happen.

I’ve spent a lot of time documenting these behind-the-scenes figures—those who are often unnoticed but whose hard work brings everything to life.
From sneaking into kitchens and back rooms to capturing the chefs preparing meals, the waiters serving with a smile, and even the dishwashers cleaning up in the shadows, I’ve always been fascinated by their stories.
It’s a part of the wedding that most people don’t see, but it’s just as important as the celebrations happening in front of the camera.

This passion for storytelling led me to create a project that means a lot to me: KITCHEN.
In this project, I combined two images into a diptych to tell the powerful, untold story of those behind the scenes—the people who make the magic of a wedding day happen.
KITCHEN is more than just a collection of photographs; it’s a personal reflection of my journey as a photographer. It’s about capturing not only the obvious moments of love and joy but also the quiet, overlooked moments that help to make those memories possible.

I had the honor of presenting this project to Sergio Ramazzotti, a renowned Italian photographer, writer, and a man with incredible knowledge and insight.
Sharing KITCHEN with him was a meaningful experience, as it allowed me to explore the deeper, often unseen side of wedding photography.

Through this project, I want to show that artistic wedding photography isn’t just about capturing beautiful images of the couple.
It’s about telling the full story of a wedding day—the laughter, the love, the details, and the people who work behind the scenes. Every person plays a role in creating those unforgettable moments, and I believe their contributions deserve to be recognized and celebrated too.
Whether they’re front and center or working in the background, their stories are just as important to the narrative of the day.
