An intimate wedding in the hills of the Chianti
Aileen, with Korean roots, and Brandon, from the United States, got married at Locanda Casanuova, a farmhouse among vineyards and olive groves in the hills of the Chianti. It was an intimate wedding, with only their closest family and friends.
The day started slowly, with Aileen getting ready with her closest friends, and then a first look with Brandon in the garden. The ceremony took place near the fountain, under the Tuscan sun.

After the vows
As the sun set over the hills, everyone sat at a single long table in the courtyard of the farmhouse, under string lights and candles: a family-style dinner, with stories, laughter and toasts, and then dancing late into the night.

Locanda Casanuova is an old farmhouse in the hills of the Chianti, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, with gardens, a fountain and a stone courtyard.
It’s the kind of place where the whole wedding happens in one spot, a few steps apart: getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, dinner and the party.

The Chianti
The Chianti stretches between Florence and Siena: vineyards on every slope, oak woods and stone villages like Greve, Radda and Castellina. It’s the land of Chianti Classico, and many estates open their cellars for tastings.
Florence is close enough for a day in the city, and Siena is an easy drive for a long lunch and a walk around Piazza del Campo.
